Hello my PÜR Evergreen family! As a mom of three, chicken, dog, and cat lover I really wanted to get this message across to families all over! When doing events I talk to so many people. When I ask what products they are using they are in shock when I tell them they are green washed. Many of these products are found in stores that claim they are natural, but they are not. They told me they had headaches, a hard time conceiving and breathing issues.

My goal is to help teach families and cleaning companies the danger in their homes. In the hustle and bustle of modern life, it’s easy to overlook the potential dangers lurking in our own homes. We strive to create safe, healthy environments for our families and pets, yet many everyday products contain hidden toxins that can harm those we hold dear. This is where the concept of greenwashing comes into play – the deceptive marketing tactic used by companies to portray their products as eco-friendly or safe, when they may be far from it.

1 – Household Cleaners: Many conventional cleaning products contain harsh chemicals like ammonia, bleach, and phthalates,  and synthetic scents which can be harmful when inhaled or come into contact with skin. These toxins not only pose risks to human health but can also be dangerous for pets who may come into contact with surfaces cleaned with these products. Many of these products are in our homes now. You will notice your breathing is not as good, your surfaces will have a haze and build up on them.

Various formaldehyde resins are widely used in certain textiles to make them resistant to creasing, crushing, shrinking, and water-repellant.  This means that formaldehyde compounds are used to add ‘wet strength’ to paper products such as some paper towels and facial tissues. Don’t worry though, PÜR Evergreen has the perfect alternative! Our Swedish Dishcloths are made with the same material that a Swedish engineer invented in 1949: 70% wood cellulose from FSC certified forests and 30% cotton. Safe to use for wiping counters, soaking up spills, doing dishes, or drying your hands!  (and dozens of more uses too!)
